Aperture for Mac user only tio boh??? :dunno: cannot leh, using PC leh... :sweatsm:

After downloading and playing around with the trial for aboout an hour or so, I have to say I still prefer Lightroom. I prefer the Lightroom controls and of course the familiarity plays a significant part.

I hope this will not turn out to be a Aperture vs Lightroom debate, both softwares have their strengths and shortcomings, it boils down to familiarity and which suits you better. If you're just starting out, Aperture does seem very very appealing, but for someone already used to the workflow of Lightroom, I don't see the need to switch. Just my opinion and observation.

Have a good week ahead! ;)

Just received my shipment today! Gonna be installing it tonight

This upgrade has all the key features I've been wanting from v1.5:
* Speed boost for previews (How fast? We'll know soon ;))
* Vignette, clone/repair brush... (No need to go through major surgery with external editors like PS/Gimp, yay!)

the previews are surprisingly fast. It makes sorting and ranking quicker even on 14-bit nefs.

Amen brothers! Browsing previews like a speeding bullet, touching up/vignetting etc like a pro (*cough cough*), I totally love Aperture 2!

The adoption of the iPhoto's "event preview" interface is great too! I can browse through a project just by sliding my finger across the mouse pad. Brilliant!

i did not use leopard, can use?

i guess for workflow management the aperture comes out tops... but i think adobe still does a better job at image editing. nonetheless, apple is out to kill for market share with its pricing strategies..
