hm hi guys,
i'm assuming someone here has repainted his car before or at least knows someone who has?
thinking of re painting car cos my 3yr old camry has some dents, scratches and paint flaking off many of these caused by inconsiderate car owners who swinggggg their doors open w/o ctrl...so sian to see my beloved car having like 5 dents and large chunks of paint flakes from such incidents.
question is does anyone know where and how much it costs?

The whole car? Last I asked, mine would cost me around S$800-1.2k

cheapest top coat only is $500.. these are the types 2nd hand car dealers bring to 'restore' old cars to look new. Doesn't last very long.

prepare up anywhere around 1K to 2K for different types of paint. 2K paint works with panel beating usually costs $2k. Worse if you going for 2 tone.

hi vince123123, yeah i'm referring to whole car...unless its possible to do localised touch ups where paint flaking & scratches are, otherwise my only option is whole car.
what car did u enquire on for the price u stated?

yanyewkay, does panel beating refer to the restoration of damage from bumps and dents?

yes.. the restoration of bumps and dents.

There are options to do localised paint touch up, but unless your paint has been well maintained all along, it's hard to match the original colour if your paint work is several years old.

It's difficult to avoid those dents caused by inconsiderate drivers. I have seen those accessories that can prevent scratches caused by those situation you mentioned above. But not sure if it will work.

I am also interested in repainting the whole car. Any good recommendation which shop will do a good quality job? So many shops out there but not sure which is good. Best paint is 2K paint now?

DIY quick & low-cost way to fix the paint flakes will be to use a touch-up paint which should be easily obtained from Borneo FOC...if you're planning to change car soon, there's not much point in spending the 1-2K for a spray job now.
