hmm? i thought singapore considered foreign?

Yea, Singapore considered foreign. So they will check if we have 3/4 tank on entry and maybe only allow us to top up 1/4tank? If so, can forget about going anywhere far in. They are killing their own tourism.

Over there any thing is boleh.

If i travel to KL how to pump 1/4 tank?

Anyway lets see the full news report

i don't think they are that dumb to impose such a restriction. if they do, i wonder what prompted them to act in such manner...

I believe its to stop people entering Malaysia with no petrol just to fill their tanks quickly and come back, hence, you must enter with 3/4 tank. It does not mean you cant refill in Malaysia, of course you can, your just not allowed to enter without a certain amount of fuel.

I believe its not meant for S'pore registered cars as our custom & immigrations would have stoped our cars exiting S'pore with less than 3/4 petrol in the tank...its meant for cars registered in Thailand...they dont have these 3/4 tank rule...so they can enter M'sia with the last drop of petrol in their tank...

Fine and detain foreign car who did not obey the rule if implemented.

Maybe charge SGD price for SG plate car or allow SPC to open Petrol pump in Msia and tell all SG plate to pump there...then no need to care how many quarter of tank

i see another source of revenue. CNY coming prepare the ang paos!

It is impossible to enforce a "foreign car only can fill up 1/4 tank" rule

so just sit back and laugh when they fall flat on their faces for trying to do so lor :sweatsm:

btw, got links to the news?

No news is good news.

Today, for Singapore entering Malaysia, no white card is needed, just stamp on the passport. When leaving Malaysia, the officer just stamp again on the passport.

I think the Malaysia is working very hard to welcome Singaporean to shop in Malaysia.

only singapore n thai cars need to take advantage of the lower priced petrol in malaysia.

brunei n indonesian cars can enjoy even cheaper petrol in their respective countries, so no need to check the 3/4 tanks of such cars entering malaysia.

can brunei and east malysian members comment on how frequent malaysian cars cross over the border to indonesia n brunei to pump petrol?

taking advantage of cross border pricing happens everywhere in the world. canadians r now crossing the border with a stronger C$ n shop till they drop in usa.

swiss has alway been going across the border to italy n france to shop for certain cheaper items and so r the french going to spain to enjoy some lower prices than their homeland.

so r mutinationals companies setting up shops to take advantage of lower wages in many countries or buying raw materials from wherever it is cheaper in the world.
