Hello! I noticed some tiny stains on my lens that can't be blown off by the blower.. Can anyone tell me what kind of clothe i can use to wipe my lens with? Do i need any kind of solution too?

A microfiber cloth suitable for cleaning lenses. Try the one from Kinetronics, sold by Cathay Photo. Try not to use the microfibers sold by hardware shops because the cloth weave is too coarse and may prove abrasive.

I use the microfiber pouch that comes with Oakley sunglasses. Works fine for me. ;)

you could get ZEISS wet tissues. Challenger sells them, but i can't remember the price!
some people use CHAMOIS LEATHER, but i'm skeptical .

I think 3m has a kind of cloth which is static..can be used to attract the dust.

is it from Cz or the 'zeiss" a coincident?

Made by the same company. $19.90 for a box of 90 pcs.

But it does cause streaking sometimes. IMHO, the ultimate cleaning tool is the Lenspen. Nothing comes close. I use 3M Scotch Brite High Performance Cloth to wipe LCD panels, etc.

for lenspen is it better to get the minipro type or the normal type?

Microfiber cleaning cloth...

I use my Tshirt...;p

Was using those cleaning kit that includes blower, cloth etc.

Passed by OP one day and decided to get the lenspen. Now absolutely loving it. Super convenient to use.

I have 3 forms of cleaning.

Normal dust - blower
Stains - LensPen
Very persistent stains - Kodak lens cleaning solution and lens cleaning paper (50 sheets)

Bothe the LensPen and Kodak cleaning kit can be obtained from CP. The Kodak cleaning kit is expensive, but can last you for a long time.

I bought CZ tissues myself but I don't recommend them. The solution they use is IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol) and may damage the lens coating.

Nowadays you find most of the lens cleaning solution in the market avoiding alcohol in their ingredients. I use the CZ tissues to clean my spectacles not for optical lenses.
