Juz wanto get everyone's comment about taking these sunset shots.

Should I increase the shadows so that the boat will juz be a silhouette or leave it like this with some visibility of the boat itself?

Thanks

the boat looks too dark and under exposed..
even if u increase the shadows there wont be enough contrast to see the anything.

maybe you should try to generate a hdr image instead?

Oh, ok. So u think that I should get a clearer more definite image of the boat. Thanks. Will try.

I was wondering in fact, if I should juz give the boat a silhouette feel without any real definition other than the mast.

very dull,
how come the sea don't have reflection of the sun??
and the cropping of the top are too tight

Thanks catchlights. This was taken with 400mm from shore, which explains why there is no reflection of the sun. There is no cropping done. Alas, my ps sucks. Must learn to make it more contrasty and lively. Maybe what inckurei say is right - that should make this into a HDR image.

the crop looks alright to me lah...
and you shouldnt just give the silhouette of the mask only...
the ship is part of the subject in the picture.

that's explain why the colors are so muddy, can do some local contrast.

there is not much room on top, a little unbalance, overall looks very tight crop for the whole image.
