Hi Guys,

I notice some spots on my pic which prompted me to try to determine if my sensor is dirty.
The below shot is taken with my Canon 30D, F22, iso 400 with flash onto my off-white wall.
Picture is only resized. Am I in trouble? do I need to visit the CCS asap? tried to use sensorklear pen but doesn't seems to work. Pls advise!

haha. wow. tats really dirty. how abt a blower? if all else fail, send back to csc lor. 20 over dollars.

If you don't mind sitting down in front of your computer spending time cloning off these dust spots, then just live with it. If you want to remove the dust for the time being (dust is a recurring problem) by a trip to CSC, then it's fine as well. Just depends on your choice. :)

If I were you, I would say go to CSC since 20 over dollars is not a huge sum to pay. Just keep in mind that the dust will eventually come back, but you can reduce dust from entering the camera with a few simple and good habits, such as switching off your camera while changing lenses (the electric charge from the sensor supposedly attracts or "sucks in" dust) and keeping your camera's mount faced down when changing lenses. Whatever works for you. :)

your picture processed to show the dust spots more clearly

that's some serious dust bunny invasion, bro, i'm thinking you might need wet cleaning.
if you have confidence to do it yourself, then there are many websites and forum threads in cs that teach you how to do it
personally in the long run (unless your camera company covers the cleaning under warranty and warranty still valid) i advocate that you learn how to clean it yourself
can be done in the comfort of your home, at a much lower cost than what the cleaning centre would charge you, cheers

Thanks for all the advise.

Too bad CCS is not open tomorrow, if not I will be their first customer.

How long does it takes to get it cleaned at CCS? Do I have to take half day leave for that?
