Dear fellow CSnappers,
My first post for 2008! First of all, I will like to wish all fellow CSnappers a happy 2008! :D

Okay now to the main question. My old mouse has died on me recently with its kaput scroll wheel so its time for me to get a new mouse. My desktop has its own mouse so the new mouse is basically for my MacBook.

I am looking at a wireless mouse. Preferably something that is light that I can bring it out easily. I don't mind spending a bit more so my budget for the new mouse is around S$150 maximum? Is it a little extravagant to spend so much on a mouse? :dunno:

And oh, any fellow CSnappers using Apple's wireless Mighty Mouse? Saw it on Apple's website but based on the reviews, it seems some people are having problems with its Scroll Ball function.

Other brands I am seriously considering include Microsoft and Logitech. But I don't know if they make products for Mac?

For those who often edit their photographs/works, what kind of mouse are you using?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks! :)

Logitech VX Revolution  should be about $128.

me, I'm into cheap wired mice... for photowork, its always gonna be my Intuos 3 4x6 tablet ;p

Logitech VX Nano gets my vote. I'm using it now and it has the world's smallest receiver and battery life is fantastic!

Razer for me...

But seriously, do think about the wireless idea again. If you need to work on the photos on a long stretch, a wireless can't hack the job well. You'd need to keep recharging.

Don't waste money on wireless. Get a gaming mouse if you are going to do DI.

I'm sure you will have more suggestions coming your way, but I'll put in my 2 cents worth. If you're getting a mouse for your MacBook, you can look at the Logitech v470 Bluetooth Laser Mouse. There's a white/silver one to match your MacBook (assuming you have the white MacBook). Cost about S$85 and in my opinion, is worth the money.

Try asking in the Apple Clinic in the HardWareZone forum to get more input and recommendations from the folks there.

I know this is an über noob question but....

What's the difference in a gaming mouse and the normal ones? Is it the "feel" and the handling? :dunno:

Thanks again for the feedback people! ;)

are razor mices lasting?
ive been wanting to try 1, but logitech mices have been serving me good and long so didnt change brand.

if razor mices are lasting (like 4-5 yrs :) )i might try razor after my logitech dies
