i'm thinking of getting a macpro after using imac and mbp for awhile.
i really love mac interface.

i know there's many different specs for macpro.
can someone advise me which is a good configuration for photoshopping?
solely for photoshopping, lightrooming, and surfing internet.
last thing i want is the programs running slow.

thanks in advance.

you'll want lots of ram.

but more importantly, i'd recommend you wait for the next Macworld on Jan 15th. the Mac Pros are overdue for a spec upgrade.

the config is simple,
good, better, best

choose one

but max out the ram

:bsmilie: ortega you forgot. only da best for jeanie :bsmilie:

Fastest processor, max RAM, largest HDD, ...

That's what i suggested :bsmilie: ... else jeanie will never be satisfied... later start pondering "should have upgraded this instead of of that etc... "

confirm no problem processing huge file

I am running a 3ghz (4 cores) with 8 GB (2 x 2 GB, 4 x 1 GB) of ram and a X1900XT with 1.5TB (500, 750, 320 external) hard disks.

The main thing is a good graphic card and loads of ram. Wait a bit, the next MacPro would be fitted with 45-nm Penryn Processors and the latest graphic card.
