Picture Frames

Not sure if many of you print your photos and frame them up, but i do so...

if you do,

1) Where do you go to buy your frames i.e. Ikea
2) Are they custom made frames? if so, how much and where?
3) How about the lining inside the frame i.e. white paper inner frame border?

I went for the objectifs photo fair at Dempsey on 2nd Dec and saw many types of black frames and white borders and thought they were lovely to have to showcase some photos i have. Need some advice!

How about considering using a digital photo frame, they are more affordable now and in my opinion, it is more interesting to see a series of photos, than displaying a static photo.

A good 5" x 7" digital photo frame fits beautifully on a side table in the living room or your own study table.

While digital frames has been dropping in price, their resolution is still not up to par yet, and often the colour and contrast are just not good enough. Up till now I feel they are not worth the money yet, and the good ones are quite expensive. Improve their display qualities, make it even more affordable, and I think more people will be willing to display them as photo frames.

I have some frames bought from Ikea that I hang on the walls, and I also have some custom made frames, usually the larger size frames. I always have a thick white cardboard border around the frame so that my photos will not stick on to the glass. I also have my photos printed in matt or lustre.

Yeah i got some from IKEA but for some of my custom sizes, any cheap places to get them made? Including the white cardboards and stuff.

oh crap i put the glass right in front of the picture cause i didn't want to have to glue/tape it to the backboard

There is no need to glue or tape the photo to the back board. I just position it nicely on the board and clamp down the board to the frames, the photo will stay in place after that. As for custom framing, you can try a framing shop along Kitchener Rd, I had done all my custom framing there.

I have a few frames for my A3 size photos from Ikea and also a custom made frame for a A2 size picture. The A2 size picture frame is custom made by a framing shop at upper paya lebar but the price also depends on the design of the frame you choose. There are dozens of designs and colors to choose from.

Most of my small photo frame i brought it in ikea, only a few photo that i like it very much or all my painting that i brought oversea, i'll custom made.

The shop i usually go is "Fast Frame" located at 2nd Floof Caltex House, not that cheap, but the quality is good. They are always updated will the lastest framing design.

Is there anywhere I could get a ready made frame meant for size A0? I just went down to ikea and apparently they have the largest frame at 70x100 cm which is claimed to be used for A1 size. So where can i get larger ready made frames?
