I notice a black spot on my photo,
however, I have already checked my filter (which have been cleaned),
there are no dust or spot, same for the both side of the lense.

how could this black spot coming from? any method to check and find out
the source of these black spot?

anyone can help ? thank a lot :)

dust can also get inside your lens. to check if it's the lens or sensor, take a picture of a white piece of paper or wall... and then switch lenses and repeat. if the spot is in the same place it's the sensor.

Confirmed sensor...

coz your shot was at f22.... try it again at large apertures, you shouldn't see it. ;)

Go for a sensor cleaning session.

Thanks .. I will do a try this afternoon.

how much does it cost, if I am to send it for cleaning?

Can blower manage to clear these from sensor?

Thank you.

Do you have any article or website to demonstrate how to clean sensor?

Anyway, it is time to learn how to clean sensor by myself...
as dust will always surrounding us for life time, it is better we learn how to clean it.

it can be done. but be gentle and do not apply excessive air pressure to remove the dust from the sensor, let alone say touching the sensor. :)

sensor swab and elipse so expensive ?
$38 + $180 and can clean max 12 times only?

u can reused the swap stick and get pec pads from cathay
cut to shape and tie on the stick

cheaper way is to buy 2-3 sticks from this forum
get the solution and pec pads from cathay

$90 for the swap stick
solution <$30

I know, but $200+ I can already buy a good chrismas gift for someone :)

compare to a $200+ -> psp
and $200+ -> swab and eclipse ..

I will tend to buy psp..hehe, how do you think?

Forget it, how often do you shoot at f22. At f5.6 you are unlikely to see the spot anyway. After cleaning, how long does your sensor remain clean ? (till the next time you change lens ?)

Not sure which camera you are using... but why not just send it down to the service center for cleaning? If the camera is under warranty, sensor cleaning is free.

my warranty is over ... send the service centre (open only monday to friday) need to take leave ... plus everytime 20+ not cheap also.

I use F-stop above F16 quite often .... as I like to shot a clear landscape shot... :cry:

You don't have to clean the sensor regularly if its not affecting your pictures too much. An obvious speck here and there can be gotten rid of by cloning in PS.
