the train is the best option currently. no more taxi for me unless no choice

if they did that...i think many heads from the publications will be on the chopping board, and replaced by more "yes-people" who will praise whatever stuff thats going on. :bsmilie:

hahaha.. no lah.. just tired of those crappy talk.. i mean if want to increaee watever prices.. justify it (though alot dun buy it) and increase lor.. dun say.. its still cheaper than whichever country..

it might be good if it solves the current set of problems.
Long queues and empty cabs going by without picking up passenger and waiting for calls, etc.

At this moment, i feel the situation will just go back to where it is now after a few months.
i dun think the upping of the fares will help.

though no one like price increase, but this may help to get more taxi into the CBD at night peak hour. Though I do wish they can reduce the call surcharge more.
And the CBD surcharge will go up from the existing $1 to $3.

Many drivers are reluctant to enter the city area during the evening ERP hours on an empty cab as they are not willing to pay the charges.

To provide drivers with the added incentive to do so, ComfortDelGro will give all drivers who are unable to get a passenger within 15 minutes of entering the ERP zone an ERP rebate. This is possible through the use of ComfortDelGro's Escalade and location tracking system.
........
However, the booking fee during peak hours will be reduced by $0.50 to $3.50.

I don't see how does it help when the CBD surcharge will go up from the existing $1 to $3. Isn't this discouraging cabs to enter the CBD?

Rebates to the cabbies? by how much? If the rebate is like $0.50 then what's the point and you think the cabbies will still come in with the risk of losing $2.50? :dunno:

I agree with bro sevenWAYS that increasing the price will not solve the problem.

Time to migrate....

What time to migrate? Time to take up a second job as a TAXI DRIVER........seems like turning into a Iron Rice Bowl job. We all know who benefits from all this hikes............

Next we see Bus fare increase again....

Wanton Noodle increase...beef noodle.............nasi lemak......aiya everything lar....increase lar.....:sticktong:

It will be a funny scene where people in a taxi queue refuse to board a comfort taxi while opting for other companies (provided they have not changed their price yet)
