For your D80 bro? Try the Benro or PPCP ones. Cheap & good. Can check the Mass Order section.

oic tyty.

IMHO its better to get a good 1 now
so dont have to upgrade later:)

Your experience level is irrelavant to selecting a tripod. You just need to get one that is able to hold your heaviest setup. I never trust those specs because I find them not accurate at all. Your best bet is still to try them out at the shops. I'm sure most reputable shops will be able to advise and even borrow their cameras and lenses for you to try the tripods.

Wah Bro!

Well said also! I think I'll bring my D80 to the shops and try.
Any reputable shops to recommend?
Please be patience with me :( I'm a pure newbie in equipments.

Regards

CP sells the tripods at a slightly higher price. I had been quote $245 for the Manfrotto 055XPROB and TK and MS are selling it at $220 - $225. Thee difference is greater with the Gitzo tripods.

take it slowly, go find out wats the new price.

then browse through the b&s section to see if there are any good deals.

u can save quite a bit and still get great condition equipment this way.

i got mine at 190 from john 3:16 with a no brand leg(but very good) and a manfrotto head if i not wrong 488rc2 or something like that p.s tripod lend my friend thats y

today papers cathay got promo for manfrotto 190xprob@$175 with free gifts.
i think is tripod only w/o b/h.

if you only need something to stand n shoot from a $30 tripod is enough if your load is not too much. Suggest u bring your heaviest gear down to test the tripod before buying. Budget is important and also what is your priority: Price? Weight? Strenght? Flexibiliy?

Try Manfrotto or Benro. I think it's better to get a gd solid gear right from the start if you are serious abt taking photos in the long run, rather than upgrading later or having tripod give up on you when it matters most right before a shoot.
