hi guys,

Any interesting sights to take of in Sydney ?
Or stuff to buy ? (crumpler ? haha)

Any stuff to recommend to do on weekends ? :)

Thanks.

There's lots of stuff to do in Syd. Around the city you have Darling Harbour and of coz the Harbour Bridge/Circular Quay/Opera house. Excellent views from and across the Harbour Bridge as well. If you like day trips, you have to go to the Blue Mountains.

Crumpler is not necessarily cheaper due to the high AUD$ now, but you can check out the shop on George Street anyway. Enjoy!

The usual stuff. Darling Harbour, Circular Quay, Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney Opera House, The Rocks, Harbour Bridge, Sydney Tower....

Go to The Rocks market during the weekend.

There are many day-tour trips which you can book, look out for the coupons or brochures at the airport tourist information for a start.

Sydney aquarium & the harbour is a nice place to spend a day. They also have a bridge that can be swung aside for the bigger ships to pass.

Yeah you can check out the aquarium, its quite nice.

Or make a daytrip to featherdale wildlife park in blacktown. You can really get up close and personal to some of the native animals there..kookabura just within arm distance, koalas, kangaroos etc.

Hey, I am going there this weekend as well. Glad to see this post :)

Just don't have high expectations. It's an uber boring place if you are used to the fast paced lifestyle we have over here.

okay okay thanks guys , will write this all down haha .. Darling Harbour, Circular Quay, Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney Opera House, The Rocks, Harbour Bridge, Sydney Tower ...

thanks. hmm did someone mention prison ?!?!

will be going there for work for about 1 month next yr hee

There are some CSers living in Sydney.

You want us to entertain you or put on a show for you? :bsmilie:

errr .... entertainment from Sion erm erm , suddenly, pink shoes and nikkon lens cap bra holders come to mind :bsmilie::sweatsm::sweat:

 and now what lens to bring :bsmilie:

no restriction on camera lenes on air planes right ? haha

once the US sercurity thought my azumith(think spell wrong :p) tripod was some sort of wearon parts whahhaha

King Cross at night. It's like our Geylang.

You don't have to do anything funny, but if you're adventurous enough, can be quite an interesting eye opener.

Other than that, take the ferries, do the bridge climb, or visit the museums.

Sydney is easy to get around leh. Most tourist attractions are easily accessible by trains, buses or ferries.

Here are some of my snapshots:

Even when the dollar was lower, I think it was still cheaper to buy in Singapore :D

Don't waste money buying nougats in Sydney! It's cheaper in Singapore even though it the same brand same packaging same type.

Yes!!! I totally agree with you.

I would suggest paying a visit to Blue Mountains. Lovely place. IIRC, its about 3hours train ride. Damn I miss Australia....

Kiama..... sigh....
