DIY Bokeh

Maybe everyone can post here to share their creations.

To kick it off, here's mine (just made it so could only test it out with my Christmas tree lights):

35mm F1.4L on a 20D. Just followed the tutorial and made that "cap" thingie with a cutout of the batman symbol. Fun stuff. Can't wait to try it out on the orchard road lights.

Wah piang! I was thinking of crosses... Maybe can cut out several designs and try, will be rather interesting!

my try...i know it looks like crap...but i just saw it and thought i would try it out..used my kit lens and was difficult to cut out a small heart shape using scissors..the paper would bend and cause the edges to be like sh*t... focal length 55mm and apert wide open..

any one have any advice to spare?? thankss

hmm.. I think those stamp-out cutters would work nicely for this purpose, but $$..

For my batman symbol, what i did was i got an image of the logo off the net, printed it out on a piece of paper, and then used that as a template to cut out the shape on my lens cover. I also used a pen-type cutter instead of the usual penknife/boxcutter because it allows for much better control. Something like these: http://www.lion-office.com/nt/d.html

Believe it or not I intended for #1 to be a Xmas tree but well.. I didnt cut properly so it became more like an arrow. Lol.

Have yet to test it out in orchard rd where the bright lights will make your bokeh really distinct.
