Got an email from my friend about this old lady and she has touched me. And this is her best ever birthday gift that she ever has. Hope everyone will like her to pursue your dreams and belief.

"Hi,
This is from a lady who backpacked alone to Tibet in May 2005 during her 50th b'day. It was a 50-day journey. For those of you who can't read Chinese, just sit back & enjoy the beautiful scenery & music. If you wish to read more, just click on the cover of the book at the end of the photo session."

And this one is her husband wrote about her. And can anyone tell which artist play that piano (background music). Love the tune.

well i dunno. my mom is almost 60 and is backpacking (ok maybe not with those huge backpacks) everywhere. canada, china - xi an, xinjiang, shanghai region, california, etc.. i dunno if she's done tibet yet, but half the time she's doing it alone.
only difference is that she's just not that good with the camera.

the tune sounds like the a very subdued version of kitaro's matsuri.

Hm...it just depend how you look at it. You mum is on holiday? Perhaps you should read when watching the slides. Not just the photos. I have seen alot of this kind of photos. I am not amaze by those photos that she took. I think you misunderstood what i have said.

It her belief and courage that she has for her dreams.

Perhaps you should read when watching the slides. She is not just sharing her photos, is her thoughts as well. I have seen alot of this kind of photos. I am not amaze by those photos that she took. I think you misunderstood what i have said.

Great story, although pics are not so good compared with her words. I have been thinking of visiting Tibet for several years but got no plan to do it. Maybe I should consider it next year, either May-June or Aug-Sept. Tibet is a dream for many people, especially photographers and travellers.

Ya man, it's a dream for many people. I have heard alot of it when i'm at China. Make sure you are "fit" enough before you heading there :)

That's one of the reason why it holding me back for a while. As i know i cant really make it in a way :(

the music fits the images and words well... it really makes us think of ourselves and lives we are living now...

time to ponder..................................................

When I climbed Mt Kilimanjaro there was a couple climbing up as well. It was their 50th wedding anniversary.

It's from the 大长今 tv series. :)

I have some kitaro's ablums but just dun have this song, Matsuri..... :(
