After using my Canon S5IS for about 21/2 months i would want to noe whether my flower taking skills has improve or not. So with my skin thick, thick i post this pic for all the pros here to shoot.........Pls shoot at me as much as possible....if not i cannot improve.....many, many thanks in advance..........

Maybe you should take it from a different angle such that the leaf won't be there and such that it can be cropped?

bro maybe it's my no good that i did not explain clearly y the shot was taken in that kind of composition:embrass:.........i started photography becoz of my orchids.....the flower blooms and wilt.....so the only way to keep them "alive" is through photography........the leaves of the orchids is proposely taken together with the flowers for future references of the specie...... currently i have got about a total of 80 types of species and hybrib plants....... never the less thank u for taking time to view and advising.........really appreciate that......

Looks pretty good to me. I guess it's quite impossible to find an angle where the leaves can be 'removed'. Overall the flower looks pretty 3D to me and it's nice, but the leaves (and the overexposed part on one of them) somehow spoils it (a little). Thanks for sharing.

BTW jus for infor the bloom is made up of many individual flowers n not one flower by itself

I'm not into macro or nature, but I do like the pic a lot I think the leaves work well to frame the picture, but like was mentioned earlier, the top part a little over, would be nice if there was less detail there so it doesn't distract from the subject.
