Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Hi all,
just to check if you people are having problems these 2 days when surfing the internet?
since yesterday i keep on having this message shown up...."Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" in certain websites and these websites are the common site i offen visit.
btw i'm using singnet, windows vista and IE7. tried out minefield, same thing happens.
scanned my PC with virus scan and nothing found. wonder if singnet is having major server mantainance this weekend...........:thumbsd:

most probably.. but server maintenance shld and usually be done at night..

Go to DOS window (Start > Run, open "cmd") and try to ping those sites

e.g. ping yahoo.com

If you can ping the site and browser cannot surf the site, something wrong with your browser settings.

if you cannot ping yahoo.com but can ping 66.94.234.13, your DNS servers is not working.

I'm facing (very) slow loading and occasional cannot load at all in ie too. But same PC same OS, Firefox no problem.

turn off phising filter..

Hi everyone, thanks so much for all the tips.
ok....to narrow down the problem, seems like i only having the message appear when ever i'm uploading images to my stock photo sites......a few of them behaves the same way.
i'm upload my image by HTTP. i went to the upload page, select the image i wish to upload from my PC, click upload button on the screen and the message "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" appear immediately. any idea which setting in my PC gone wrong?

anti-virus scanned....no virus found. anti spyware scanned...no virus found. fire-wall ON, phishing filter OFFed..........Sh&t....really dunnu what happening......

ok here.....i have not much of the choice but to call singnet and it is that the problem is over their side. they are aware of it and is trying to look for a solution. anyway thanks to everyone for all the tips given......although it does not solve the problems but at least i learnt something new over here......God Bless everyone.
