I suddenly have this thinking, when we excerise (eg. Jogging and swimming) we are merely converting precious energy into heat that dissipate into the space and at the same time passing out more carbon dioxide, which is termed as the culprit to green house effect.

I jog very often, the more I jog the more I drink and eat.

Why are we wasting precious resouces and hurting the earth with no useful work done.
I have read some where before, a person jogging is giving out as much carbon dioxide as a small cc car.

 What do you think?

:bigeyes::bigeyes::bigeyes:

tell that to mindef please. make sure they buy your idea. must put singapore at the forefront of the fight against global warming, since we already started sourcing for new energy and energy conservations.

Okay :D let's shut down all the servers so that we can all save electricity :D one data center can generate more heat then we can fart continously :bsmilie:

Imagine also the amount of methane gasses (not all of us produce much of this gas) you fart out and that goes into the air to pollute it:

http://www.heptune.com/farts.html

HS

If we can trap this methane gas into balloons, we can make some money selling them in fairgrounds. :bsmilie:

I think this is extremely stupid. Why not ban all cows while we are at it, they are also one of the biggest contributers of C02.

Yes, I hear people trying to stop the cows from burping because the gas will deplete the Ozone layer.

But Cows give us milk and beef, they plow the paddy fields. Their existence is proven to be useful.

When we do marathon, the process is extremely painful and very hurtful to our body, it is done just to satisfy our obsessions with pain and to prove superior endurance over others?

I don’t know.

I think the wives and girlfriends will a happier lot if you all conserve the energy for exercise for them. :bsmilie:

The more I exercise the hungrier I get the more I eat the more weight I put on the more I need to exercise.

Every year I go for company check up the nurse will tell me my BMI needs to go down (I'm not obese/super fat I still can pass IPPT).

hahaha, yes very interesting...:bsmilie:
The ultimate goal is to achieve the maximum pleasure with the least effort, so as to be earth friendly and conserve energy.
Therefore, must do it in the shortest possible time and should not make any noise.
Because noise will be converted into heat energy and very wasteful of resources.

:)

Is noise a necessity in the process? Why want to make noise during the process? What is the intend?
Any expert?

Because silence isnt always golden!

The ultimate goal is to achieve the maximum pleasure with the least effort.....

Let your partner do all the hard work. :bsmilie:

The social effect of this will be more divorce cases. :bsmilie:

To tell the neighbours that you are doing it for the birth rate of Singapore. :bsmilie:

Excellent idea! The less people exercise, the lesser their life expectancy, and viola, less people around in the near future. So according to your theory, less people = less CO2 right? Good show Dr. Watson, good show. Don't let small things like natural selection bother you, live as you wish :bsmilie:

LOL:bsmilie:

I spend more time eating when I am programming or working at my desk than a full day of exercise. SO how about this.........

You wire your exercise machines (if you have them) to your TV and/ to your washing machine. The next time you want to watch TV or wash your clothes, you exercise.

Never turn on the heating if you live in a cold country, exercise to keep warm - under the blanket if that helps!

...

you can't look at it this way, it is overly simplistic

a person who exercises will by logic, and science, be more able to handle his tasks, better mental state and better physical condition

he might even give back more productivity than the "precious resources" he consumes

one could also argue that the food, if not eaten, would go to waste anyways

Just found this, think it fits in quite nicely here.

Brilliant, want to surf clubsnap, first work on the dynamometer.

Lady, that is extremely wasteful, you intentionally create a problem to be solved later.:)
Enjoy first, suffer later hor..:)

yes noise is necessary, the males are excited through the audio input, i am not kidding! google around for more detail.

try wearing ear muffs the next time lor, then maybe you can tell the difference ;p

Interesting points.

But I look at it from the point that A Human is very amazing engine, we can convert food energy into useful mechanical energy.

An average person can produce 1 horse power of energy and maintain the power output for a short period of time, for 10 min or so. eg, when cycling, the torque applied by us multiply by the distance of the pedal to the center of the socket and mulitply by the gear ratio is about 1 horse power (0.707 watt).

If we just chose to cycle down the track, all energy is wasted..:)
