hi i m new here...jux wondering what type of camera do i need for newbie level?

depend on what u want n also your budget ba... i 1st got a canon ixus 40, after that it cannot get what i wanted... so i spend 6 months time of research n saving.. now i got a nikon D40...

i trying to say is.. u need to know what u really want... :)

depends on what u want to shoot and how big u want the camera to be. If totally new, just get a small cam to bring around to shoot. I'm personally more biased toward fuji F50 based on experience with F10.

hi..

it also depends on whether u want to explore settings on your own.. or simply use the auto mode and shoot away.

if u wanna learn more about settings and its effects, i would suggest a prosumer camera, or if budget permits, a dslr.

if otherwise.. a good point and shoot compact camera will be just fine ;)

There's a lot of different newbie levels. So I can't be sure which you belong to.

Do you have experience with any sort of cameras? Do you want to shoot just for memory sake or do you want to create photos with more viability for you to manipulate the controls?

What's your budget like? How much gear are you willing to invest in and carry around?

Answer all these questions and you'll know which direction to look at.

hmm...noob lvl ar..i tink its realli the lvl 0 kind lo...cos see some realli nice pics so wanna learn more...den for budget ar??no budget realli...jux feel tht mayb get smth decent? types of shot would be scenic kinds

Maybe you'll want to get a PnS or prosumer first. Don't think you'll need a DSLR now. Anyway, it doesn't mean that a DSLR will alwaysproduce better pictures than a PnS or prosumer.
