I wanted to set up a studio in one of my room. so wat are the basic equipment needed? :dunno:

a camera body with a lense, flash(portable or studio), 1 reflector(styrofoam board also can).

my 2 cents worth.

" Professional light system including two light tripots and 125W bulbs."
I guess it's tripod? typo error? backdrop w/o lighting possible? I mean just using flash?

wat do u mean by flash (portable or studio)? sorry... i'm totally new to all this gadjets...

go to the studio equipment websites and read their publications
then visit studios to see what it actually does

then rent a studio to play with the equipment

after all of that then you can decise to buy or not to buy

usually we call it lights stand, tripod is referring to camera tripod.

btw, the light shows in the photo is AC powered slave flash, you better check properly is he giving you a 125w household light bulb or the AC powered slave flash?

How basic is ur setup for?
Still life? Product? Portraiture?

IMO..all these have different basic requirement..

mostly people would want to shoot everything..

than the one which you show is good enough, but I would spend $$ on lights rather than on background system for the beginning, you can make do with whatever things as background.
