DSLR Raincover

Hi All

Does anyone has any DSLR raincover to recommend. I've seen n read a couple of products but dont really like e design.

So far, i'm very interested in e one produce by Aquatech but it cost close to S$300 for e basic one.

Just wondering anyone has any good lobang on the Aquatech product or has other recommendations that i should consider.

Actually e DIY and those other cheap ones i saw look very flimsy le. Nothing much then just a plastic over the camera body. Dont tink it offer much protection.

Not sure abt e one sold in Orient. Guess not much choices out there.

Tink e next best to me is e Kata one. But dont remember ever seeing one in sg shops.

Agreed, Kata E-702 DSLR Camera Raincover is good.
Clear thick plastic to view finder & LCD and good protection for DSLR.
Accessable to camera & lens controls via two side sleeves.

I bought one this year & tested but still have not use in the rain.
May sell if have good offer price since item is sitting at my cabinet.

It costs us$50 at B&H still need to consider shipping cost.

The bulk/thickness of these sleeves is usually (but not always) proportionate to the level of protection you get.

I personally like the Storm Jackets (Had an MO some time back) as they are very unbulky, and offer good protection in the rain - they are made of the same type of material as those used in typical umbrellas so its not as thick/bulky/stiff as plastic type equilvalents.

Just thought I would update my experience with using this.
I bought at Cathay Marina for 7 bucks for two. Yeah 7 bucks for two !!!

Its very basic, but I am quite impressed with it. I used it in light/medium rain last weekend and my camera was well protected. I used it with my Canon 30d and 100-400mm lens with hood attached. The rain was on n off over a 2-3 hrs period.

There is a draw-string that I pulled tight over the edge of the hood. I removed the eye-piece and fixed it over the 'hole' as instructed. I was able to operate the controls through the rainsleeve.

For S$3.50 a piece, I have no complaints :thumbsup:
