PS3 to LCD screen

Was planning to buy a PS3 for my son after his O levels. His PC has a SyncMaster 932B Plus LCD screen, I think got DVI port.

What's a good way to connect to PS3? and where is good place in SLS to buy a PS3 nowadays?

PS3 should use a Full-HD TV for best optimal display, consider a full 1080i HD TV like Sony Bravia or Samsung's forget DVI/Analogue etc.

Thanks, for suggestion but aiyoh... if he uses the TV for gaming, no one else can watch TV liow. My home got only 2 TVs one in my room and the other one in Living room. I prefer that he uses his own LCD screen, maybe won't be as much fun but he will have to make do. :bsmilie:

Anyone with this setup? is it ok?

If that's the case, consider the component cable output for the PS3 to the TV instead, the component cable and HDMI cables are sold seperately though.

The sad thing is that if he plays PS3 then most of the games will be on 1080i, a bit wasted if not HD-Ready or Full-HD leh.


As for PS3, I advise you to head for FunzCentre or Seow Choon opposite Sim Lim Tower or the game shop @ Century Square (sorry forgotten the name).
