If you like the PnS type (plain & simple) use the Braun, any model, lasts forever.

If you like the SLR type in manual mode, consider an espresso maker.

Entry-level espresso can be over-the-stove type around $50, all the way to the medium format professional series around $5000. :D

Depends on how often you want to play with it and how much time you have to make a shot. Be prepared to take up to 20mins to make your first shot each day.... then comes the cleaning cleaning cleaning....
