I recently got myself a nikon d40. NOw i wanna get a new lens, is there any lens that is from 18-120+mm one? If there is,can roughly tell me the price coz i am quite broke?THx =)

Try getting a 18-135mm (D80 Kit lens) from Buy and Sell then. Should be around $300+ to $400.

Get any AF lens you like, but you need to manually focus... of you want to AF, then your choices are limited to the AF-S lenses in the Nikon lineup. Go look them up in the Nikon SG website.
