Been looking around for 24" wide screen. Dell just drop the prices to $899. Acer $599 plus 2gb sd. Viewsonic I am not sure about the price. Recommend what is good to buy. Two day to decide before the comex show. I have viewsonic 19 inch for photo processing.

going to Comex during the week-end is madness because of the crowds. Go to Sim Lim Square and you'll get as good a price, if not better than at Comex but without the crowds!

you can get it online from dell at $899 too anyway. no point queuing up and nosing through the crowd just to get the same price.

i went to dell stall at comex on thu... the guy there told me "get now i can give you at $849" so just fyi... but i agree it's madness... haha

I just got the 24" Dell on 1st day Comex.

Yes my mind was almost set on Apple ACD when I thought seriously to myself and realized there's more advantages for Dell instead of ACD.

1. it's S$849 (3 years warranty) or S$899 (5 years warranty) compare to 2X the price for a ACD 23".
2. Display might be a little inferior to Apple ACD, but after hardware calibration, it will be more or less alright :)
3. Do do a search for Dell 24" on google and see some reviews online.

Haha...........I see you finally settle down with Dell...........! You will have a wonderful time with this baby. I just got another for myself. It is more than less alright when you do not compare the 2 monitors together.

Infact it's all about how you calibrate the monitor. You may not get use to the brightness of Dell monitor at first but once you settle in with Macbeth display calibrator, you are on your way!

Enjoy this!

From hardware zone a lot of back order. Will take about oneweek to fufilled the order subject to major order fulfilled. Hmm

Yup! I was thinking so long before I finally decide on the Dell.. I was thinking for minute difference, I rather get a larger screen + cheaper price. hahaa

Haha! I don't own a hardware display calibrator, looking i'm looking for anyone out there who can calibrate for me for a fee, in mid-sept when I move in to my new office. :) note: you must be familiar with this Dell 24" and working in mac interface! :) Interested? Please PM me!

I was the one posted at hardwarezone that stocks will only arrive later, because that was the information from Dell (suntec) before Comex. Apparently stocks are in our shores already and mine will also arrive on Monday 6-10pm. :)

Dell is shortage of 19 inch screens and laptops screens.

I have a friend working in Penang office who inform me about it.

And yes, many 24 inch is in Singapore shores liao.

Not the most popular 24inch as many still think it's too expensive. Most popular screen from Dell is the 20 inch (the higher grade version) and 19 inch as it's super cheap.

Most Dell screens are either from LG or Samsung.

Well if you want your colours to be accurate, it's worth getting a calibrator as you need to tune it every 1-2 months. Colours will change after a while. I got my calibrator from a CS member who did a bulk order. I am not sure if he still brings in.

You can try ebay as there are should be some selling there. I am not sure brand new price but I got mine for $80.00 (if my memory did not fail me lar)

Anything you need to ask me, PM lar.
