Nikon AF-S DX 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G

for those who want to know, I did some tests shots and post them here
make your own conclusions about the quality

All images taken using a Nikon D80, ISO 100, Aperture priority

Resized full frame @ f8 and f3.5 (tripod mounted)
note the vignetting on the f3.5 image
 

now at 70mm resized images

please note that the sun peeked through the clouds during the test

Next, CA tests at different aperture settings

All images taken with the same exposure using manual mode

the CA is actually quite well controlled
 

Magnification - manual focus set to minimum
for greatest magnification at maxumum focal lenght

D70 / D70s and now the D200 (hv seen the D200 KIT on sale in some shops)
 

yes it is

as above by scenar

I find this lens holds well against the other lenses tested
only the lack of the big aperture

now if i can get my hands on all the nikon kit lenses for a week or two, i can do a quick test to compare
 

after i complete the bokeh and magnification shots
but i am afraid that the page will take a long time to load because of the images

Great review bro.

Don't you think the color / contrast and Bokeh of the 18-70 is much better than the other two ?

I feel so :)
