whats wrong...its see would pay more only ma...

But personally, I felt that this year's fireworks celebrations are quite lacking in quality.

Although the qty of fireworks is more compared to the previous ones, the positioning of the fireworks was rather bad - given the decision to open up exclusive seating at the floating platform.

Most of the low level fireworks were launched from the floating platform. As such, the vantage point(s) was exclusive to viewing spots from the Ritz Carlton side. All the other viewing points were rather bad.

Almost all my shots had that "lobang" at the bottom of the shots.

hello... why compare us to our neighbour ? did u pay to see or was it free to public ? free dun complain lah !

btw... your Singapore is spelled wrongly !

wow... 30 minutes of fireworks display!!! shiok sia

Why no one consider the aftermath of the display? Smoky, flocks of human trying to get across the street, police trying to control the crowd but to no avail etc... even before the display starts arguments already broke out. I saw people rushing to take other people's place, some bugger in front stand up to get a better view block everybody from behind etc...

It might be a blessing in disguise for this event to be cancelled.

Actually the year before, we did have a firework festive which lasted more then a week with about 2 demo per night. I guess maybe Malaysia is challenging us this time around to try to out perform us by having more entries heheh.. Well...let's see what happens next year heheh...

Well, you can go over and see mah.

Or you can see some photos taken from here.

Those fireworks are HUGE. (of course gat plenty of smoke too :bsmilie: )

anyway, anyone tot about if the bay is converted to freshwater reservoir, can they still do fireworks there?

Eh... the one that broke the glass of McDonalds in Sembawang? BUT, what happens to the Hello Kitty now? Think karang guni also don't want. :bsmilie:

No need to get TL with this lah, ours is a festival display, theirs is a competition. Furthermore, with so many teams and so much of fire works, in the end, it's their own pollution index will shoot up and the people suffers from the thick smoke, so why envy them, right?

Not forgetting that it's in KL only, if any is interested to go and watch and take some photos, it's still not too hard nor expensive to go also. And also, it's our northern neighbour's National Day Celebration, so let's just enjoy this together with them and help promote harmony between the two country.

Wait you go Japan to take their summer fireworks. More shiok! Min 2hrs:bsmilie:
