Does anyone know if there's a way to find someone on MSN messenger, by parameters like name etc?

I am trying to trace an old friend but do not have his MSN email address.

if you have his mobile and its web enabled or if you know his nick there's a chance you could do a search with live messenger.

Hmm so with just the full name alone no use? What if we assume that he entered his full name in his profile?
