Oh man, this is really bad... Such a standard also come out and show, a real disgrace to the MP corp and a far cry from their previous precise standard drill. Think not only many extra will be issue, the drill master will also kena and likely he will kena the worse.

they have my sympathies for the hell they're gonna have to endure...

i cant believe what i juz saw.. hahah :bsmilie:

What do you guys expect? These guys are just doing a service.
It is very good liao.
Pay peanuts you get mokeys.
For me, I will drop the gun in the middle of the drill.

These are bound to happen for newbie spds members, because they are new. Do you know how hard the training is before we are qualified to perform? Did you put in other factors, like nervousness? No matter whether you are the old batch or the new batch, newbird or old bird, there is still some chance of mistakes. (Normal spectators sometimes can't see, but we can identify.)
Why don't you try it yourself? You think it is easy being a squad member or a squad master?
What's wrong with making mistakes? You don't make mistakes? Wow, super  Then I think you should be sent to the spds instructor course in Taiwan. You would probably MIA within a week.

Sorry Leejay, your reasoning is not acceptable. I understand that drill training is hard. I cursed and swear every rehearsal when training for NDP. When you perform in the public, mistakes are not acceptable. You represent your unit. Make the mistakes and pay the price. Simple as that.

Yes, NS really pays tiny peanuts for the cr*p that we do.

However, it is National Service - and you are doing it for your family & loved ones. (Lets not confuse country and the ruling party here.)

And at public events, you are representing your fellow citizens and country - whether you like it or not.

Surely this is reason enough to spur you to give of your best? Must good performance be so closely tied to only financial gains?

I've meet soldiers from poorer countries who are paid a pittance but they still have heaps more pride in their profession and country than most of us put together.

nothing is perfect, some mistakes are bound to happen, don't get so anal.

respect their hard work put in, put yourself in their shoes.

Just put it this way...nobody wants to screw up in a public performance...no matter u're old or new...you should see what kind of punishment they'll go thru if mistakes were made in performance...I was from the same company, but not in the squad...so I have lots of chance to see them practise (or punishment)....

well... seems like theres 1-2 of them who seems to have "FORGOTTEN" how to do the drills and what they do is recover and recover and hope that no one knows what they are doing..

i dunno if its still the same name "PIPA" drill also dunno how to do ?? :dunno:

...... i think the 2 person should be stand in issit... wah liao... cmi ok...

I will never forget Rama....had a 1 on 1 screaming session with him.:bsmilie:

This was the very first COG for them and they have others major events on-going for them like the Kuala Lumpur International Tattoo early next month.

Perhaps they mixed up their sequences with the other shows, who knows?

Let's not be so harsh and hopefully the next time they perform, they will do us proud in KL! :D
