Hi all,

To develope a 6R/8R photo, what kind of image file size/resolution do we need in order to develope a good quality photo?

To print photo quality, you need print 300 dots per inch (dpi)

so

6R is 6" x 8" , to get digital size, multiply by 300, so (6" x 8") x 300 = 1800 x 2400 resolution which is 4.32 megapixel

8R is 8" x 10" , to get digital size, multiply by 300, so (8" x 10") x 300 = 2400 x 3000 resolution which is 7.20 megapixel

Thank you, megaweb. I needed that formula to decide the resolution of my shots to develop some 8R pics :)
