hi..

newbie seeking some comments and help on how to improve on this pic of a bee hovering.. i realised its OOF, but being a newbie, kinda exciting to get this kind of shot.. so hoping to improve further..

noticed this bee flying from flower to flower.. so i focused on one of the flowers and waited for the bee to come near. it was kinda in a shade too..

See quite a bit of noise here considering it is at ISO 200. Surrounding leaves are a distraction. Go closer.

agree w/ yehosaphat, gotta get more focus on the bee,
make it bigger so it becomes the main subject.

and the flower looks abit screwed up o_O
i think when taking nature shots, being fast on capturing the action is one thing
but also gotta see the subjects surrounding before taking.
the flowers looks clump, wrinkly n messy to me

but i like the bee's 'butt'!
it's blue n black! lolx

thanks for the comments.. yeah, noise is there.. it was quite shady there, so had to use a higher ISO to get a faster shutter speed..

the go closer part is kinda difficult coz it was in the middle of the bushes.. will try to zoom in more next time..

thanks for te tips.

focusing on the bee will be a challenge since its constantly flying from flower to flower.. plus.. its like 1cm in length..

yeah, i also realised that the flower isnt the best of flowers.. but heck.. that was the one the bee kept going back to.. hahaha..

thanks for the comments and tips! :)

crop the greenery at the bottom - it does not help the composition in this instance in my opinion - then crop tighter on the white flower top and bottom. this should make it look a bit better - try it and see
