Lens Calibration

Was wondering how much does it cost to send a piece of lens to nikon service center for recalibration? A friend of mine needs to send a piece of lens for recalibration due to consistent back-focusing problems that doesn't happen with other lenses he has. Thanks in advance.

If old old lens forget it don't send to NSC.

Care to explain why? Will it be too expensive to service after warrenty or no support for older lens? Dun think the lens is that old.

Do call NSC regarding the lens if they able to service it for you before going down else no point going. I am refer to those old AI/AIS lens.

Will you ever experience back/front focusing problems with AI/AIS lenses? I think it's unheard of in that era. ;p
