cleans PNS camera lens with cheap cleaning solution safe a not?

hi people,

i have my fuji v10 lens gets oily, dusty,
so i went to neighbouhood kodak shop at TPY central n buy the available lens cleaning solution for est $7.50

heres my question
inside the whole package they got this cleaning solution,
is the liquid safe for the lens not?

cuz is like $7.50 cleaning kit, so i scared the liquid solution not very safe tht kind.

any suggestions?

just make sure not to apply the liquid directly onto the lens.

apply it onto the cloth (or whatever you're gonna use to wipe it), then use the cloth and wipe the lens.

Well, it's the same old question that you should ask yourself.

If you're worried about it, then you should be getting some expensive cleaning solution. Though erm, the liquid I use to clean my DSLR sensor costs like $5 per bottle. :dunno: It's just how much of a risk-taker you are, if you ask then I think you best pay the bucks to buy some of peace of mind, no offense meant seriously.

cheap stuff doesn't necessarily mean it's bad, and vice-versa.

just be smart on what u do with whatever u have.

Cameras are not waterproof. Liquid can get in by many ways, one of which is through lens unit.

why not use lenspen? quite good and not very exp also.

Do remember to blow off any dust or sand that maybe on the lens before wiping the lens. Do not use your mouth to blow! :nono: Get a dust blower. Some people use cotton buds to cleans P&S lenses, since they are so tiny. Get the low lint ones.

The Fuji v10 is quite small, the lens pen might actually be bigger then the lens. :bsmilie:

Just found out that there is a new LensPen MicroPro, for compact camera lenses.

There are lenspens mean for PnS and even camera phones... Their tip are probably just about 5mm in width
