Hi. Just interested. All the time, we always say when buying new lenses, must bring your DSLR with a laptop to take some test pictures, and if that copy is no good, try another.

So, just wondering, what is the most number of new camera lenses boxes you have opened before to get that satisfactory copy?

Hi satay16,

I don't want to be petty, but, are you serious with this poll :dunno:

I would have rather had a poll for," When you order pizza, do you ask for anchovies" :bsmilie:

It is a must? I've never done that... i always believe the copy is brand new & good when in the shop... it couldn't have been dropped or anything i believe... ;p so i usually open it, casually look at the exterior, & at the most put onto my cam & take a few casual shots & that's it... i believe it's new & good... :sweatsm:me not fussy... maybe i'm very amateur... haven't really bought very expensive lens before, so i dunno... :dunno:

Then when you go and draw money from the nearest ATM because cash is cheaper..

You get the first box that you opened! :bsmilie::bsmilie::bsmilie:

And the funniest part is, when you never ever realise it.

Talking about sharpness.

Not because good or new or what, that one definitely no issue. But for certain brands, it is reputed that their QC is not so good, so best if you test a few copies to see if you have gotten a sharp copy.

I can't believe I clicked to read this thread...
