Hi guys, I'm looking at buying a flash for my new D80, i need something that is good but doesnt need to be the best thing out there. I know the first question poeple usually ask is "what are you going to shoot?" Since I'm a newbie i want to shoot well....everything! I'm still learning and exploring my own ability as well as that of the camera's - although i have a preference for shooting people and candids.

Any reccomendations (and prices) for a decent flash are much appreciated. Also how much does an omnibounce cost roughly?

Cheers!!

i'm currently using sb600 + omnibounce combo. It's really nice. if you can afford the sb800 better.

I bought it 375 bnew a few months back. Buy from trusted shops only. omnibounce costs around 30 SGD iirc.

Yeah most find that a SB-600 would suffice. If you feel like rewarding yourself with a bit of a luxury item, go for the SB-800 then. :)

Thanks for that, I think i've rewarded myself a bit too much lately I'll have to stick to the cheaper alternatives for now!
