There's a difference between Hamilton and Alonso. Hamilton was with McLaren for a long time and is indebted to Ron Dennis. No matter what happens to McLaren, Hamilton is very unlikely to leave. The same doesn't apply to Alonso, though. He just wants to be on a team that allows him to be World Champion.

Nah. Alonso beh song because he thinks Mclaren is bias towards Hamilton, especially since Mclaren is a British team. He wants Mclaren to focus more on him as the defending champion.:thumbsd:

In todays ST, Alonso said that he might quit McLaren as he has a clause that allows him to do so if the team drag his name thru the mud. He wanna protect his image. So I believe if McLaren is guilty, he will quit.

In today's ST, 3 top McLaren exe knew about the Ferrari doc and told their engineer to get rid of it but they also choose to keep quiet and did not report to FIA.

I figure Star Sports didn't show the qualifying LIVE. Did they ?
I checked the schedule earlier this evening and it showed qualifying as 11:30 PM !!!

Anyways, was following Q3 in the Live timings section of formula1.com

Looks like Hamilton hit the tyre walls big time, because of the problem with front right bolt that didn't fix well during the pitstop. Was stretchered off ...apparently didn't suffer any injuries. lucky bloke.

The order is Kimi, Alonso, Massa, Heidfeld...
Hamilton will start at P10.

BMW are the joker card thrown among the McLaren and Ferrari pair. Both their drivers are solid, with Heidfeld's experience and Kubica's raw speed that put them clearly best of the rest and there to capitalize if the two top running teams should falter.

I like rooting for the underdogs given that their ascendancy to the front of the pack has been done in a workmanlike manner, and race after race. They would be in the position that BAR Honda was in last year, and Honda finally took home a race win that year as well with Jenson Button.

Raikkonen roars to Germany pole

Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen roared to pole position during a dramatic qualifying session for the European Grand Prix.
The final spell of qualifying was delayed for just over half an hour when British world championship leader Lewis Hamilton crashed into the barriers.

When qualifying resumed, Raikkonen set a flying lap of one minute 31.450 seconds, ahead of McLaren's Fernando Alonso and team-mate Felipe Massa.

If Hamilton is passed fit he will start in 10th place on the Nurburgring grid.

McLaren boss Ron Dennis said it was "too early" to know if the British rookie was fit enough to take part in the race.

If Hamilton does need to use McLaren's spare car he must start the race from the pit lane.
