I'll be coming back to Singapore for a week in September and i'll like to know which shops in the Peninsula Triangle are a good bet for used lenses for my k100d.

many thanks!

You will be disapointed. Don't think there is one. I bet Perth that side got more used lens for pentax than here.

There are a couple of shops there that carry used Pentax lenses.
But the B&S forum have better stock at much better prices... ;)

OK.. but its kind of hard for me to do any deals considering the distance involved. Could you point me in the direction of these shops? Even if the prices are higher, i still like to see and touch before committing.

p.s. I know getting from other users is better, my 50mm prime was from a photographic market. It was actually being sold with the camera. I just wanted the lens :p

you can try The Camera Workshop in Peninsula Plaza. They have lots of second hand stuff but unfortunately, very few Pentax lenses. The building houses a few shops selling second hand stuff too...

The availability of used Pentax lenses here in Singapore is dismal. The few that you can find at TCW and other shops aren't cheap considering the age/condition. Anything good would probably have been snapped up already. My advice is to look online or deal with individual buyers direct. My collection of lenses have mostly been acquired this way.

i agree that used Pentax lenses is difficult to come by in Singapore. Even if you did manage to get some, the condition is usually not too good considering the humid level in Singapore. Used lens of old age will already have some dust, dirt or so for.

It will be better off, getting used lenses online/ebay and so for. 14 lenses in my cabinet and none gotton in Singapore.

cheerss..

There is a Zenitar 16mm f/2.8 (S$300+) at CamX. At TCW there is a M50 f/1.4, M28 f/2.8 (i think) and Vivitar 28 f/2.8 if you are interested.

The Zenitar fisheye can be bought cheaper on the net. I have seen it going for about S$200 thereabouts. It is a new set, not used.

Agreed it is cheaper to on the net.:D

Probably true. Problem of course is shipping and if its ebay, winning the bid.
Regarding those lense. Thanks, but it may be too early to know at the moment :p
Do a search, some of the sellers are offering it at Buy Now prices. Shipping isn't really a problem from my experience.

Not in Australia they don't....
Really? I have a few Australian professional photographer friends who buy most of their stuff online and haven't really had problems shipping wise.

No i mean i rarely see a buy price for genuine auctions (not folks with ebay stores). That makes actually winning the bid kinda hard.
