I know.. shot to death place in SG. Testing 10-22mm with ND8 to create motion effect on water. I realized one ND8 is not enough so I needed to stop down to F20. C&C welcome. Thanks!

I know that sunset! Just saw it hahaha.

#1 and #4 are my pick, you have taken the sky in #4. Today's sunset was actually quite nice.. =)

watching the sunset from my window.. beautiful..
too bad didn't go out
anyway pic 3 got potential but the sky abit washed out, can be salvaged I think ;)

Thanks guys for the comments.. Need to practice more to get that silky effect using ND8.. :)

Pic is dreamlike!

I think #2 is a great capture of the wave hitting the rock with motion blur but the framing could be better. And I also like the bottom half of #3, as the top half is overexposed.

I'm just wondering on why you so eager to use your ND8? Because you could have simply waited for the sun to come down, at which time the hues in the sky get so much nicer. Human eye might not be able to see the colors in the sky as well but long exposure of the camera would definitely bring them out. I think it should only come into play in capturing #1 and #2, when you want to have motion by slowing down your shutter speed. More glass (or plastic) equals less clarity, stop down first till you reach optimal range of your lens then only comes the ND8. I find mine useful for panning in daylight too.

hehe.. yeah i know my composition sucks :D rub salt on the wound :( but thanks thanks!

reason i'm so eager to use ND8 is want the rocks/subject to be brightly lit by the sun with the water moving effect. if i wait for the sun to go down, the rocks will be dark like in picture #3. pls correct me i'm wrong. ;p

actually i combined nd8 and stopping down to f22 because i still can't get a slow shutter due to the bright sun at 3pm-4pm. i almost want to stack two nd8 but afraid of the vignetting. stopping down to f22 showed all the dust on my sensor

Ok, I can understand the effect you're trying but you TWO ND8?!? I hope you also have grad filters because having even ND2 Grad or ND4 Grad in your #3 would turn that in the silky picture i think you were talking about e.g Guy Edwardes. The thing about putting an ND8 to would simply mean that the sky would still be plain not the matching effect of dusk or dawn. Just an alternative idea.
