Hood/shade for cokin filter

Hi there. Pardon me if this topic has been discussed before...

is there any kind of "hood" or shading device that can be used when a square filter (as in cokin p filter system) plus holder is attached to the lens?

Have tried using the filters & managed to get the desired results but images were spoilt by flaring.

cokin do have their own lens hood.
