What is the difference between the two and the price too? Is Digi-cab reliable? Any comments? Thanks!

Was told the DHC is digital readout one. You can set the humidity by digital setting.

DHC humidity control is closed loop while AD is not. In another word, DHC will automatically control and monitor the RH and will have auto cut off once the humidity reaches the % RH set by the user. For AD, the user has to monitor and do the setting manually.

Yes. But AD ones also auto cut off once RH level of preset knob has been reached.

Yeah, but the fact is, there is no fixed RH setting, it's more of a guesswork, and you have to keep trying till the value you desire is reached. ;)

Of cos of cos :) But usually have to turn to the 7 or 8 o'clock position and should be fine. DHC series gives the advantage of setting the RH level digitally.

Also DHC seems to be easier to set. Got AD 120. spent a week and still trying to get the right settin. difficult to fine tune. hope havent got a defective one

At least yours is only a week, mine was 2 weeks befire it stabilises.

Understatement dude... Those with a DHC just needs to set the figure once. And start using... ;)

Deviating off-topic: My cabinet seems to be always dropping below 40%. I have used different settings and it always drops below 40%. Could it be defective?

below 40 as in how much? very low? open the cabinet and let some air in.. then turn the knob until there is not green light.. it will most prob be at the 40 region a few hours later..

Give it some time to stabilise (e.g. overnight). The delay on dry cabinets are notoriously long! :bsmilie:

DHC series is for lazy people like me, just set the % needed and let it stablilised itself

not only for lazy people, but for a better peace of mind too! ;)
My next digi cabinet would be from the DHC series. :D ;p
Waiting for my AD series cabinets to die (Which I don't know when)!

DHC 1 year on-site warranty. So no trouble if got problem, just call.

You super KNS! LOL! !! JUST BBB lah!

I'll be taking note of the DHC prices during the upcoming Comex and decide to get a bigger one or not!:devil::devil:

Anyone wants a 80L & 100L AD Digi-cabi, let me know! :bsmilie:

I think a better way to explain is to use "active" and "passive". The AD is active system and the DHC is a passive system as it has a feedback system to know the RH% level and stop. But for the AD, there is no feedback at all, the system will stop at the corresponding level of the knob, it doesn't care what the RH% level is.
