house lizard? I ate tree lizards. Changeable lizards you commonly find hanging around neighbourhood trees. Those in the jungles of Thailand are humongous.
Was doing my army reservist training in Thailand when this Thai army ranger gave me a piece of barbecued meat on a skewer. Got to say, it tasted like chicken meat. Only after eating it did he told me that it was one of those things that crawled up trees.

Bathroom scrub.

Remember the bottles of white power for scrubbing toilets like "VIM" that was issued in the army?

The powder becomes chunky when it absorbs moisture, and I usually just grab the container and kock it against a wall or some hard surface to loosen the chunks so that I could get it out of the container. There was one time I encountered a bottle that had very stubborn chunks so I had to hit the bottle real hard against the wall repeatedly. Someone came into the toilet and asked me some question...I opened my mouth to answer and a chunk flew off the container and landed right inside my mouth.

It tasted like salt....:ipuke:

Horse meat sashimi in Kagoshima Japan.
Taste like... erm, chicken?

I had it in Japan also, in Tokyo. So tough and stringy... tasted like butter because it is quite oily.

another time, can't remember how it started but I was chewing something in my mouth when I spat it out I realised it was a criket.

Combat rations! Really strange! Snake and Crocodile are also strange.
