Just bought my at CP yesterday (the firmware is 1.14). Immediately i head to the singapore river to test shoot.
this one come with the sofn case which can fit with the VF attached.
coming saturday i will head to chengdu for a week holiday this will give the GX100 a good test.
Chengdu will be an excellent place to test the camera especially the famous 九寨沟
Just picked up a GX100 from TK Foto.
My excuse was that GST will be heading up...
An excellent excuse to get this wonderful camera
Did you buy the wide conversion lens as well?
Of course I did!
I mean, if I did not, I would have faced an additional $2.20 from the additional 2% GST...
All in all, am very pleased with my purchase. Not taken it for an extensive test run yet, but I do enjoy the overall feel of the camera.
On sat, my colleague just picked up one for herself too..
HA!
why dont we have a RICOH Gx100 + GR Digital outing?
I got the EVF kit, plus the wide angle lens and converter, and a 2GB Ultra II SD card.
Paid $975 I think, from TK.
Not too sure how many they have and if they will still offer this price.
Sea&Sea's new DX-1G underwater camera system consists of a Sea&Sea-branded digital camera and an underwater housing that's currently slated to offer waterproofing to at least 50 meters. The digicam itself is a slightly modified variant of Ricoh's Caplio GX100, a compact camera with ten megapixel resolution from a 1/1.75" image sensor, coupled to a 3x optical zoom lens that was first announced last March. The changes look to be limited to the camera's logo, and the addition of a "Sea&Sea" underwater mode, with all other specs provided by Sea&Sea matching those of the original Ricoh camera.
Hmmm... GX-100 goes underwater ?
Hmmm... wonder if the actual housing can be purchased separately - as this is being sold as a package. Looks like getting a GX-100 or the Sea&Sea DX-1G is under consideration.
this GX100 is really one nifty camera. luv it! now i carry it almost everywhere i go. ;p
recently i tried doing some night shots with this camera. after an exposure of about 30s, i noticed that it took damn long (and i mean long - like 15-30s) for the camera to write the data. the green LED was flashing and screen was black. i dont remember having such long write time on my nikon dslr. any ideas??
