Is that true?
that God does not welcome sinners?

My picture above is a very simple, no frills image...
at one glance, it is indeed very normal.
nothing special about it......
all you see is a church in the background.

But when you look at the foreground...
you see a no entry sign..... and barbed wires...........

isnt this what the "world' see.........
the world thinks that the church is an unwelcoming place.
that only the holiest of holiest can walk in...
and anyone who walks in is no sinner.....
and that the church is only for the elite........

however, the world does not know that God came in the form of a man....
and that Man came for sinners. to dine and eat with sinners....
so sinners may recieve the unexplainable Grace of God.

the world tries to make you think that the church does not welcome you.....

But hey look carefully at the left hand side of the picture..........
no matter what the world makes you to believe...
God will make a way for you to reach HIM...............

Like what you said at the last part, the gate is always open but this gate is for exit only in this case, hence the no entry sign. There is always another gate for entry and all are welcome to enter through that gate.

The entry gate will be small. Jesus Christ said, "I am the gate, whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture."

All can get in. All will be received and all will find pasture.

Well, actually this sort of sign is meant for cars and other forms of motorised vehicle. If we take cars as symbolical of our worldly possessions, then this "No Entry" sign can be taken to mean that to get close to God, we must leave our worldly possesions behind.

I think only sinner need the hand of god after all. If he who is pure, why he need to be forgiven, he who never sin is near to god already.

we are to obey God and never bear grudges against anyone.

Furthermore, the posting was meant to share that no one is barred from
sharing in God's blessing, no one is barred from His Grace =)

i think the title is very misleading. not everyone will come into the thread, and not everyone that comes in will bother reading before leaving in disgust.

i for one was disgusted, but managed to read your (rather lengthy) justification for the title....

Well, there's 2 take on this:

1. GOD loves the sinners but hates the sin (the act of wrong doing). John 3:16
2. It's some of the people inside the church that discriminates not the church as a whole which formed by the teachings of Jesus Christ. John 3:16

Anyway, this is definitely not a place to discuss this type of theological perspective.

I think this isn't a forum to be spreading your religion under the disguise of picture interpretation.
Like every other bro in this forum, i've got nice christian friends too, but they aint mixing in their religious interpretations of daily events into casual chats in an attempt to guide me under their flag.

No offense, but I personally find such action distasteful. Perhaps posting this in the "Kopitiam" general chat section would seem more appropiate.

Just hope to keep this section clean for its intended purpose.

Yea, anyway, some personal suggestions:

1) a looser frame as the pictures seems too tightly cropped. Mayb more sky and barbed wire to show contrast?
2) the timing when you took the shot, coz mid day sun isn't very flattering for pictures. A time like 6 plus 7 will be good?
3) Gives some sense of movement and "life" to the picture. Include a person stoppin to look at the stop sign?
