The Darkest Chapter of Russian History begins on 22nd June 1941.
Result more than 20 millions Russian casualties during World War II.

Operation Barbarossa opened up the Eastern Front, which ultimately became one of the greatest theatres of war in human history, with some of the largest and most brutal battles, deadliest atrocities, terrible loss of life and miserable conditions for Soviets and Germans soldiers.

And Hitler's biggest mistake. If he hadn't opened the second front (at least at that time), history today might have been very different.

things were going so well for the germans until moscow and then stalingard... if only they had enough winter gear for the men and machines... they believe they could close the war before Christmas ; overconfident !

Lucky he make a mistake :sticktong .

I guess it all boils down to Hitler's wild ambitions and his warped mind. There were brilliant military moves, yet people are always stumped by the mistakes he made.

Ya, if not,
our first language would be Japanese
second language would be Germans
third language would be Italians.

What is so bad about that?

Is it worse than having:
first language Singlish,
second language English,
third language Chinese (or whatever else),

TOGETHER WITH a government that insists that:
your third language be your second language,
your second language be your first language,
and your first language be totally abolished!!!

The strange part is the Germans High Command do understudy Napoleon's military disaster and there is even an war planning and war game on it before Operation Barbarossa was launch.

they did and many got sacked by Hitler.
