1. in what area is critique to be sought?
= in converting mono and post processing

2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
=trying to convey a simple but appealing portrait

3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
= took this shot using natural lighting

4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
= simple yet captivating photo

While the expression was ery good, this picture could have done much better with a faster shutter speed to prevent the blurness/softness. Her right cheek has a bright highlight which also spoils the shot.

Mebbe you'd like to try again with a better exposed shot and mebbe a small reflector to her left to throw back some light to her left side. ;)

apart from the blurness... actually am ok with this.
how about moving a little futher back from her? pic makes her looks fat and flat.

actually she's really fat in person...:bsmilie:

anyways... will try your suggestion next time... thank bro...

I like the softness created by the natural lighting. Very fine art portrait like. As for mono conversion and the techniques applied, it is very subjective and individual.

You may wish to enlarge it and frame it up. It would worth the effort.

Cheers and thank you for sharing this nice picture.
