I was ask to go and look for my boss this afternoon.

Nicholas can you call is photographer, we need him for an event this weekend. When I look at the name. Immedate I tell me boss, he is 1 of the top photographer* in Singapore.

When my boss tell me that he is charging $100 an hour. I just drop my jaw.

How in the world can he charge that kind of price.. Just cannot understand..

* He appear on TV and newspaper. Amassber of 1 of the top camera in Singapore...

Events Co nowadays, I just quote high. Ai mai, mai sua. Just find other things to do nia. Diversify, doesn't need to be photography what.

I wonder if my VG friend got paid in full for his stint at Marina Sq for Singapore Fashion Festival.

It's weird, last time I see fashion show like ants to sugar. Now I see, its....argh!

Nothing is impossible in photography, especially when it comes to undercutting market rates. Let's not make a big hoo-ha over this for seasoned CSers should be used to the wonders of underpriced photography services.

Did your boss ever engage him to shoot for other big jobs?

Would you mind asking the photographer if he is hard up for money?

Is it certain that the photographer is not asking someone to shoot instead of himself?

Pricing is never a direct affair.

Assumption: There is always a reason behind every action of rational people.

Thanks for the clarification. I would consider that pricing as normal then. Nobody has a gun pointed to their head to be forced to become a photographer.

i would say that S$100/hr is very very decent $$.
