Sometimes CSers drop me a pm and ask for some information on the photo, setup, location etc..

I take time to reply and most of them do reply back and thanked for the information but I noticed that there are some out there who did not even say thanks after I give them the information...

Does this happen to anyone else?

yeap ... same things happened, occasionally.

quite common nowadays...

think they just ask for the sake of asking... so sometimes i just glance thru my pms and delete accordingly...

A drop of mud does not make the whole ocean murky.

If more people are thanking than not, why care? After all, when you help, that's what you're doing, you're helping. You're not looking for their thanks. If you help for the sake of their thanks then you shouldn't help in the first place, because that's not really the true spirit after all. :)

Well, there is this rather thin line between gratification and appreciation...

Most of us are just looking for appreciation rather then glorious gratification...

So, u wanna try giving help? what can u do anyway?

I only get PMs from girls who want to know whether I am married or not.

For them I have a standard reply:

"Can you apply for the position 10 years ago?" :bsmilie:

I dun really think so much out of my photos so most of the time I'll just say, "See EXIF"

Ok, I'm lazy. Shoot me. :bsmilie:

I prefer others to send me a thank-you hamper rather than a thank you PM note
