From my observation, I noticed that there are a few ClubSnap members who are in Melbourne for a considerable length of time, and I suspect that there could be more.

So that fellow members know you are in Melbourne, what you do in Melbourne (studying or working only), and open the opportunity to network with other ClubSnap members, please put your username and status in the list below.

Since Melbournians will be having a long weekend this week (9-11th June), ClubSnappers in Melbourne could meet on Monday (11th).

I hope the list grows, and we could be seeing each other somewhere in the city.

Looks like there's a number of us in Melbourne. I just started work last Monday, so it's pretty rough for me at the moment. Haven't actually found much quality time for photography of late, but I'm still trying to do some of it once a week during my off days.

In case anyone's interested to know, I'm working as a vet at RSPCA (Burwood). Take your pet along and come look for me!

Over the last three weeks or so that I've been here, I've been traveling around with my Dad for all photo trips. Thus far we've visited a few places and they usually take a reasonable drive to get there. Some examples are the Dandenong Ranges, Brighton's beaches, Sorrento and Fitzroy Gardens in the city. There's a fair bit of beauty in Australia. It's only the traveling that puts me off because I hate driving. I've put the recent photos from Australia in my Flickr album, in case anyone is interested to look them up.

I think to say, a "fair bit of beauty in Australia" is an understatement! There are lots of beautiful places! And yes, I agree regarding the driving bit, but unlike you, I love driving!

I got some friends living in Glen Waverly. Hoping for the drought to end so that I can migrate there! ;p

Thanks fWord for your intro. Driving can't be all that bad, especially when Australia was rated as the world's best country to visit for its beautiful and abundant natural scenery, as rated by the travel industry last year.

I would like to keep this thread as clean as possible.

The intention of this thread is to list, and hopefully keep updated (although I don't know how), of ClubSnap members in Melbourne for networking. I hope that as the list grows, we could come together for a social gathering.

It's definitely nice over here...when the sun is shining especially. Recently it's become fairly dreary, thick cloud cover most of the time but unfortunately the rain is not coming. It's been occasional drizzles only, and even the heavier ones are not helping much. The last I saw, the dams were only at 28.5% capacity. We're about to hit Stage 4 water restrictions, so I'm not really holding my breath for rain...or for the drought to end. :bsmilie:

It's nice over here, though the whole country isn't a picture in and of itself. I felt that New Zealand was like that...just so breathtakingly beautiful.

Yes, it'll be nice to see who else is living in Melbourne. Meeting up is a great idea, but there will need to be a good central place for the meetup. In Singapore I would have depended on the public transport to take me everywhere. But here, public transport is a little patchy.

I will be a free man after tomorrow, last paper! So if anyone wanna meet up please let me know. Also I have a couple of volunteers for TFCD. So we might be able to arrange something.

;)

Thanks Golgotha for your enthusiasm. That sounds good. I hope not many members are going back for holidays this winter.

exams over! so anyone who's still around during this dreadful winter, I'm in the midst of arranging a TFCD with a couple of my frens. Well the location is (erm since it's nearer to us), Uni Melb, but can be changed. We are looking to shoot around 30th Jun or 1st July.
