My gf wanna clean some of her branded bags. She's looking for some professional help cos she got bad experience with those laundry service. Anyone knows where to get this kind of service, or is there in sg?

there's a shop in China Square Central who does this.
I've never used their services, I just noticed the shops cos I used to work in the same building

can wash branded bags one meh? my wife got a stain on her bag and she went back to the boutique and they say the leather cannot wash one.....

There's a shop in Market Street Multi-Story carpark, ground floor, that claims it can clean shoes, leather luggage, etc. Haven't used them so can't comment on their service. Hope this is of some help to you.

Branded bags are pretentious if you can't afford to replace them when they get dirty or worn :p

My gf went to back to the boutique and they refer her to a shop called Leshine at Far East Plaza. I searched online and found that they also has a webite www.leshine.biz

i think this shop is good. i also got my bag dirty. so hapen to ask tis sales assistant at Loewe and they gave me this shop's namecard also.

Leshine is one of the best out there. They still have their shop at far east and had moved to 1st floor already. Far east branch is only a collection centre. Their machine is over at hong lim building basement. However, be prepared it can easily cost over $50 per dry clean. Special cleaning can be over $70 depending on complexity. It is still best to send bags or leather goods to far east as sometimes they can fix it on the spot with a small fee. But if they cant do it upon evaluation, they will be very frank to tell you dont waste money.

For bags over 1k or has sentimental value, it is good to send to a professional. For most camera bags, maybe diy is best choice.

Thanks contaxable. Seem like u have a gd experience with them. You are rite, the bag holds sentimental value in it, tat's y my gf refused to change it. Hopefully they can help her with it.

Actually leather can be clean, but it depends on what kind of stain. I think it's best to let the professional see first...

Well, yes, i had brought stuff there for cleaning. They seem to know leather and fabric very well and they have the right solution for each job. Just be reminded too that they are not the gungho type. (well at least for my case). If a leather bag is badly hit by fungus, they wont even touch it. I believe they offer other services as well. They can trim leather strap length also. Really, no point posting more. You should just bring it down for an accessment together with your gf.

For your gf precious things, you may want to consider getting her a dry cabinet (about $200+) to put some of her expensive leather goods. Open the dry cab once a month and stretch the bags a lil so as to moisturise its contents with our humid air. Also, best prevention is to use premium leather cream for leather bags. It helps keep them supple.

Oh, and they are super busy as they are sooooo popular. You will see all kinds of stuff there.

(typo: I believe their cleaning facility is over at Fook Hai shopping complex instead. I often get the two building names mixed up. They use huge professional motorised cabinets to cure the leather goods). Your gf can choose to pick up her bag from Fook Hai branch also if its nearer.

BTW, I do not work for them or are related to them. I feel they are the best in town. YMMV though.

I just went down to Leshine at Far East today. Wow...this gal is very knowledgeable and professional with all the diff cleaning techniques of bags. Learnt some tricks from her too..hahaha. Didn't waste my time going down to let her take a look and the best thing is, it can be done. for this shop. However, they have a lot of bags to wash, I only can get it about 1- 2 weeks time. Cindy, it's worth the trip down to let them see, they will just tell you on the spot whether it can be done.

hey contaxable, post reviews again after ur gf gets back her bag k?
seems like its high time i go down and get my bag fixed also!

Hi Cindy

I believe you meant Jamelaw and his gf bag. I dont have any item for them to clean for now... :bsmilie: And yes, asking for a quote is kinda like foc. You can just tell them u would think about it and then leave the shop without obligation. And you may want to weigh the opportunity to get a new bag by topping up some money on the quoted cost of repair. Now that would be a much tougher decision as it involves temptation.

Hi James,
Good to know you had it fixed. Now, your gf should be happier. Hope she didnt pay a bomb for the fix. Got lobang must share.

one sentence of advise.

DONT wash your bag.(DIY or sending it to shops)
when you buy an expensive bag, keep it as clean as possible.

hi everyone, got back the bag yesterday. Wow..after cleaning, it really looks totally clean! It simply looks like a new bag to me. However, after washing the bag seem a bit dry and stiff and Leshine told me it's quite normal. Just need to use it more often and it will be back to normal. Is it true?
