Pentax Lenses Availabilty

Hi guys, was intending to get a DSLR, K10D, hrd great reviews bout it, but was wondering about the availiablilty of the lenses in the market, any kind souls can help me? thank you!

my frend using nikon d80, so he was commenting tt pentax lenses hard to get...

i was thinking of changing to k10d, hrd great reviews, but hrd also tt iso isnt tt gd? true?

Well, as long as you don't need fast telephoto lenses, pentax is fine.

For your use, you can consider the sigma 10-20 and pentax 12-24. The upcoming (december=ish in singapore) 16-50 2.8 might also be interesting.

It's definitely true that pentax lens availability is lower than nikon/canon, but for your stated use I suspect pentax has available glass which you can find reasonably easily.

if u got any airlady friends always fly between SG and JP or HK , the lens issue does not exist at all..and JP/HK pentax price is very good.

Uh.

I think the most important thing to do is to go feel the cameras to see what you like.

The D80 is not bad, frankly.

also, if you have lots of friends, who are willing to lend you lenses, that's also a benefit to a more popular system.
